Investigation:Russh magazine’s topless 16-year-old’s shoot

>16-year-old Zippora Seven in topless shoot for Russh Magazine

Recently in news was controversy of a 14 year old girl banned from being on the catwalk at Fashion Week this year, but this will be a major drama for both Russh magazine and the fashion industry.

How far will a magazine go to sell magazines?

Russh Australia hired Zippora Seven [right], along with fellow 16-year-old male model, Levi Clarke [not pictured], for a lavish fashion spread, which included pictures of Seven in a bath topless, with Clarke and four bottles of champagne.

Priscilla Leighton-Clark ( Seven’s Australian agent, ) has told News Ltd that the photo shoot had gone too far.

“It’s wrong that our girl has appeared in a magazine exposing her breasts when she’s so young,” she said.

“I can’t be on every shoot. Had I known it was to be a topless shoot, (Seven) would never have done it.

What I am finding hard to understand is, why is a 16-year-old girl left without her manager or any form of guardian on a photo shoot?

This is a serious matter, I’m sure we will be hearing a lot more about this in the media.

Update 12/05/08

The classification code prohibits the depiction of sexualised or gratuitous nudity involving minors under the age of 18.

But Amanda Betts, a Red Eleven director who discovered Zippora said the agency was surprised, but not disappointed with the topless pictures.

We haven’t heard from the family, what do Zippora’s parents think of the shoot but more importantly do the photo’s break the Australian classification law which any model or publisher in Australia would fall under?

Has Russh magazine depicted Zippora in a sexualised or gratuitous way by presenting her nude in this photo spread?

I will keep you updated.
