Australian alcopop tax flops
The Australian government said that the new tax on alcopops would help reduce binge drinking.

The verdict?
The statistics have come in and since the tax hike on alcopops was placed, yes there has been a drop in the consumption of Alcopops by 29.7% but the consumption of pure spirits has gone up by an alarming 45.6% and the over all consumption of alcohol has gone up by a huge over 10%.
Talk about a big backfire!
