GQ Man of the Year vs YEN Woman of the Year

It was on last night, the battle of the sexes, two of the largest publications that cater to males and females had their awards nights on the same night.

Simply put, it was GQ Man of the Year vs YEN Woman of the Year.

The YEN Awards hosted by MTV’s Vjs Darren McMullen and Ruby Rose kept the night light and humorous as the talented ladies told us of their hardship making it through in a mans World and aren’t we all glad they did. The Grates performed 2 of their tracks and were great on stage, but the star of the night was SBS’ Journalist Sophie McNeill who took out YEN’s Woman of the Year award for her outstanding work locally and overseas in war zones like Lebanon and Pakistan.

Now for the GQ Men of the Year Awards, the boys were all smiling with winners in a load of categories. A moving award was presented to Heath Ledger and accepted by his father Kim. Celebrations continued on at the after-party at the IVY POOL, we took a few shots with some of the real winners of the night :)

Breakthrough Artist of the Year: Vincent Fantauzzo

Best Ensemble: Cast of Underbelly

Band/Solo Artist of the Year: The Presets

Man of Style: Jason Dundas

Designer of the Year: Arthur Galan
